Life’s Too Short…

By Debra Dingman

No ad, just fact

My son teased me that I was writing an “advertisorial.”  Is this a word?  I just know how hard it is to find good painters and yes, over the years I’ve learned there is a reason for stereotyping—even though we prefer not to believe it.  Even Clarence Sickinger, the owner of P.A.R. Painting brought up stereotyping and said he and his company are truly different.

Now, that my house has been painted by PAR, I totally agree.  The crew first came out to give an estimate after investigating the whole house.  Upon discovering way too many spots of rot in the siding, they sent out a sub-contractor who replaced it all.

Clarence came out twice while Patin Construction was doing the work to check on the progress and timing.  Audra, Clarence’s wife, meanwhile, worked with me on the color scheme.  Both were always professional and friendly.  Better yet, they kept every time commitment they made and kept me informed of the progress.

Other PAR painters scraped and sealed the whole house and there were two days of primer painting before the ultimate colors and trim were painted.  They took off my screen doors and re-hung them after painting.  They paid attention to the details.  It looks like a new house but better—it feels like a new house.  I am very pleased and yes, I highly recommend this company to others.

I met them at a Chamber of Commerce Mixer just so you know.  Yes, lots of good connections are made through your local Chamber of Commerce!  You can reach them at www.parpainting.com or at (530)304-6234.  – Reprint from The Dixon Tribune  July 11, 2010
